Proper storage of specialized tools – such as steel fabrication and processing tools (machining, bending and punching tools) – requires dedicated racks.

At Pedlex, our specialized storage systems from Rousseau offer enhanced management and guaranteed protection for your tools.

Our Rousseau-made tool racks will help you limit the costs associated with buying or reconditioning tools. Take advantage of their superior hold and excellent stability, which prevents tools from tipping over. Their tough storage surfaces will protect your tools from impact and metal splinters; they also protect against corrosion by promoting fluid flow and limiting contact surfaces with the tool.

Storage for Machining Tools

Rousseau’s CNC tool storage system has been specially designed to ensure better storage and maximum protection for your tools.

The tool holder is made of resistant PVC extrusion and protects your tools against impacts. Their identification zone allows you to quickly locate your tools.

The tool holder is available either without perforations or with perforations for Taper, Straight, Sandvik Capto, HSK, KM, and VDI tools.

Storage for bending tools

Store your bending tools with Rousseau’s solution, specially designed to protect your punches and dies, and organize them ergonomically. Our storage systems are designed to allow you to store and transport your tools on your premises. They are compatible with American, European, Wilson WT, Wila NS, Trumpf and other tooling styles.

Our systems will enable you to store tools appropriate to your way of working: whether you store tools in a central warehouse, to distribute them according to daily production; or alternatively, whether each folder has its own box containing dies and punches for specific needs.

Specialized storage

Our changeover carts have been specifically designed to bridge the gap between the central store and the tool cabinets located near the bending machines. They enable you to load and unload your machines with a tool that’s both efficient (thanks to an adjustable tool support on the top and a laminated wood surface) and safe (thanks to the wider wheelbase at the front).

The VTZ (vertical tool zone) cabinet is the ultimate vertical storage solution, with industry-leading durability. Its drawers offer a capacity of 1,000 lb each, thanks to their floor-mounted rolling system. With a height of 62″, they are available in two depths: 44″ and 48″.

The trays for storing bending tools have a capacity of 250lb each and are height-adjustable to 3/4″ c/c, allowing adjustment to suit the height of your tools.

The two versions of adjustable tool holders are: 1.0″: recommended for American-type tools (cavity depth: 1.030″); and 1.5″: recommended for European-type tools, Wilson WT, Wila NS, Trumpf (cavity depth: 1.468″).

Punching tool storage

Our Rousseau punching tool storage solution ensures efficient, orderly storage of A (½” diameter), B (1 ¼”), C (2″), D (3 ½”) and E (4 ½”) /thick turret/ tools. Our solutions are designed to make you more efficient – whether you need to store your tools close to the machines, check them before use or monitor production quality, or move your tools for maintenance, such as sharpening and lubrication.

Our experts recommend three solutions to maximize and densify your tool storage, depending on the type of punches and dies of your choice:

Storage bins – allow you to store assembled (or unassembled) tools lying down in bins, thanks to bit holders.
Drawer divider dividers – store your unassembled tools upright.
Tool trays – store your grouped (unassembled) tools – lying or standing dies and standing punches.

Storage trays and cabinet tops

Punch tool holders are made of galvanized steel and covered with a ¼" thick PVC plate. They support punches by their shoulder and the punches do not rest directly in the drawer bottoms. One tray can support up to 12 punches and 36 type A dies. Each tray distributes the load and prevents distortion of the drawer bottoms. Trays are 8" wide and designed for installation in a 10 "H or 11 "H drawer.

Storage in fixed cabinets or heavy-duty mobile tool boxes

Our Rousseau modular tool cabinets and tool boxes are designed for heavy-duty use in industrial environments, and offer you robust storage solutions with their range of available dimensions, durability and capacity of 400 lb per drawer with 100% extension.

We offer pre-configured models for punching tools, combining the storage of different tool types ( A, B, C, D, E ) in a single cabinet. These cabinets include storage bins, dividers and dividers. You can also choose other drawer interiors, including tool trays.
